Zakat al-Fitr is your final act of worship this Ramadan. It purifies your fast and helps ensure that no one celebrates Eid on an empty stomach.
If you miss days of fasting in Ramadan and are unable to make them up afterwards, then you must feed the poor. This is currently set at £8 per person per day.
Fidyah applies when you have a genuine reason for missing the fast, such as long-term illness, and you know you will not be able to make up the missed fasts after Ramadan.
